About me
Pride & Craftsmanship
My robots are not just “arts and crafts”, they are a celebration of creativity and resourcefulness.
My home shop is now stuffed with “junk” I’ve collected at weekend garage sales and businesses like Goodwill, the local thrift stores, the region’s Restores and area antique stores.
Hopefully, you see I take pride in my craftsmanship. Still, my robots are not intended to be “perfect” TV robots coming off overseas assembly lines. I think a few flaws here and there enhance the “handmade” nature of these whimsical characters.
Never Ending Ideas & Inspiration
My passion for art, crafts, and engineering drives me to create whimsical robots that inspire joy and curiosity. I enjoy the challenge of using a broad spectrum of unrelated materials that, when finished, almost always brings a smile to onlookers.
Each piece tells a story, showcasing the beauty of transformation and innovation. Join me on this journey of creativity and craft.
My Background
I spent roughly 50 years creating custom crafted, three dimensional signs. Darla, my wife, and I moved to Loveland four years ago, following 36 years in Jackson Hole, WY. It didn’t take long before I began rebuilding my home workshop with most of the tools I had been accustomed using in my sign business. The robots I create today are more or less an extension of the skills I learned over those years. My degree in Fine Art guides many of the decisions I pack into these fun and captivating little robots.
